A thorough working knowledge of MS SQL Server or MS Access. Experience in shell scripting using either Python, Perl or Ruby. Experience with SPSS or SAS is preferred but not required. A high potential for growth in the area of analysis and data manipulation is desired. Sample Responsibilities: 1. A major responsibility of this position will be to assist the senior analyst on the project with programming tasks using Blaise software and MS Access. Once trained, this individual will troubleshoot problems that develop with the programming, work with the senior programmer to make minor changes to the existing program, and work with the coordinating center team to understand the interrelationship of information in the databases produced by this program. 2. The position will also be involved with a variety of other tasks associated with the computerized interview. This could include processing data, writing patches to correct data issues, working in SPSS to clean datasets and/or create datasets for the use of individuals connected with the study. 3. The position will work with the Program Coordinator and senior analyst on assembling and refining data sets drawn from the study web-site. This work will require an understanding of Excel and/or Access and will include a variety of tasks which could include writing data queries and creating reports as well as data coding and cleaning tasks. 4. To develop thorough and complete documentation of all datasets, reports and computations.
